Compact line emitter BM Line 20
- Technical Data
The BMLine 20(ver2017) is a complete redesign of the prize winning and exalted BMLine 20. This included a complete revision and optimization of all parts responsible for the reproduction. So for example, three 10” chassis are now responsible for the unstoppable deep bass. The amplifier power has been increased and with the introduction of the DMC2.0 membrane control (patent pending), the performance has been considerably increased overall. The mid-range is reproduced with a B&M proprietary special chassis with an inverted calotte and the range extended downwards by approx. 200 Hz. The mid-/high range unit now converts all frequencies above the bass range up to the highest tones in a single, compact unit with a smooth, directional radiation characteristic. The B&M proprietary AMT converts the entire range above the bass range in one chassis. In this way a continuous reproduction can be reached which enables the sound to be completely isolated from the speakers. The line emitter characteristic of the AMT ensures an exact coverage of the listening area even with larger listening distances and in rooms with non-ideal spacial acoustics. The connection of the mid-range speakers to the AMT has been constructed so that in the upper mid-range a slight concentration in the direction of the listener happens who is then able to take in the AMT without a break.
The FPGA based software DSP of the large Line series loudspeakers along with the B&M proprietary FIRTEC™ technology ensure a linear phase, correctly timed reproduction in a phenomenally neutral tone. The cabinet is constructed in sandwich technology from an MDF basic form, the baffle and side walls. All elements are available in different materials, from solid wood, with fine veneers, in piano lacquer or as pure black and white combinations. The multitude of finishes and cabinet variations permits a high degree of personalization and last but not least a perfect adaption to the ambience of the living room.
